| Well, I have seen quite a few american collectors buying up various russian diecast and handmades in bunches - at Michigan, Chicago, Ohio toy shows. Some of them are veterans or just history fans that are familiar with russian military; some are into fire/police/ambulance equipment. I remember a few people that were buying quality handmades - Kherson, Saratov Laboratory, Moscow Models - probably to balance out their american handmades. Also, I think there was a lot of interest in russian import in early 90>s, which has diminished significantly over the last 5 years - but some collectors still buy russian models (probably after getting bored with other readily-available diecast on the market). Even in Texas :) |
