I managed to get several models from Russia by both, Lomo and Mini Classics, and let me tell you that the quality of some Lomo models can be very dissapointing for the accuracy-lover collector: Lomo makes rough models, with scarce care for precision (they often have crooked axles, doors that doesn?t fit...) or detail (one piece plastic wheels, roughly painted headlights, etc.).
Mini Classics offer a very accurate detail and a wonderful finishing but, on the other hand, -as Alex told- they are too fragile to handle. All the Mini Classics models I?ve got, sent by a fellow collector from Russia with all kind of protection, arrived to me with several degree of dammage. |
